Dr. Milena Cervo Sulzbach has recently joined the team as a post-doctoral researcher.

She obtained her Bachelor's Diploma in Physics in 2014 at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Porto Alegre, Brazil. During her undergraduate studies, she was granted an internship in the Magnetism Laboratory for 3.5 years to participate in projects to study magnetic spin-valve memory devices.

In 2017, she concluded her Master's Degree in Physics at the same university. In her Master's thesis, she fabricated and characterized the structure and electrical properties of TiO2 resistive memory devices. Mainly, she used ion beam analysis techniques to understand the oxygen and metal diffusion as a mechanism for resistive switching in ReRAM devices.

In 2017, she was granted an INPhINIT fellowship co-funded by the European Commission through COFUND, one of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie initiatives of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme in Spain to pursue her Ph.D. at the Physics at Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB – CSIC). In May 2021, she graduated with a thesis on the investigation of ferroelectric and resistive switching phenomena on Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 ferroelectric tunnel junctions.

Now, she joined the team where she will contribute to the electrical characterization and optimization of neuromorphic devices.
